Imagery & Positive Affirmations

Hi Everyone,

My topic this month is about how imagery and positive affirmations can change your life. Using Imagery can enhance the emotions of the words that are thought or spoken. The emotions along with imagery manifests the reality. The Law of Attraction is a common topic of conversation. So let’s first define what imagery is.

  • The currency of dreams and daydreams
  • Memories and reminiscences
  • Plans, projections and possibilities
  • Language of the arts, emotions and the deeper self
  • A way of viewing your own ideas, feelings and interpretations
  • A means of transformation and liberation
  • The interface between the body and the mind that can have a direct effect on physiology

Imagery can be an effective tool for helping you see what changes need to made and how you can go about making them. So the images are an important part of creating what you want. Then the words you use and how you use them begin the manifesting process.

Manifesting from your affirmations and images might happen immediately, in a few hours, in a few days, or take weeks or longer. It all depends on your focus, faith, strength of desire and the feelings you put into the words. It is important to understand that repeating positive affirmations for a few minutes, and then thinking negatively the rest of the day, neutralizes the effects of the positive words. If you want to get the results you want, change your mind from the negative to the positive. Continually letting go of any negative thoughts allows the process of manifestation to happen sooner. Many times I will say “Here, Angels. Have these thoughts and transform them.” I always feel better right away.

How to Repeat Affirmations

  1. Choose statements that are not too long.
  2. Repeat them often.
  3. Be as relaxed as you can while repeating the words.
  4. Pay full attention to the words you are repeating.
  5. Believe what you are repeating.
  6. Use present tense statements.
  7. Picture in your mind that it is already in the present.

I have talked about Flower Essences and Emotional Freedom Technique for improving your health. I also love to combine essential oils while repeating affirmations. Below are some of my favorite oils and a phrase I have paired with each one.

Essential Oil Affirmations

Lemongrass – I am calm and peaceful as I let go of the past.

Peppermint – My heart and soul are uplifted.

Bitter orange – I am healthy, safe, secure and loved.

Frankincense – I am divinely guided.

Myrrh – My divine purpose and truths are revealed to me.

Eucalyptus – I am focused and clear headed.

Lavender – I speak from my heart.

Tea Tree – I choose positive thoughts and to live in the question.

Grapefruit – My spirit is calm yet energized.

Clove/cinnamon – Love and prosperity are always with me.

Basil – I am awake with a mentally healthy and clarified balanced life.

Clary Sage – Wisdom, harmony and purpose flow to me from my angels.

Rosemary – I breathe in the love and support from my angels.

Turmeric – My mind expands as my vibration rises to higher levels of love, peace and calm.

Neroli – I am confident and my heart is open.

Bergamot – My mind clears as joy and laughter fills my heart.

Oregano – I am centered, calm and clear.

Thyme – I am brave, courageous and energetic.

I hope this inspires you to incorporate your own unique way of adding positive imagery and affirmations into your daily routine. The little time it takes can bring so much to your life.
